The one number that matters
A Bolt to central Batumi is 8–15 GEL, depending on time and demand. The street-taxi stand outside arrivals commonly opens at 50–60 GEL for the same ride — an opening bid, not a tariff, and there is no meter to fall back on.
How to order a Bolt
Order in the app once you have your luggage; pickup is at the parking area just outside arrivals. You need mobile data or the terminal Wi-Fi to place the order. Bolt runs around the clock in Batumi, so it is usually the cheapest dependable option at any hour.
If you take a street taxi anyway
Agree the total in GEL before you get in. A quote in dollars or euros is a bad sign. Do not accept the first number offered — it is almost always the opening bid.
Arriving at night
Do not plan around the bus after dark: timetables for routes 10, 10a and 9 are incomplete and evening frequency drops, with no reliable last-bus time. Bolt is the round-the-clock fallback. If you land late in low season, travel with children, or want a guaranteed car, a pre-booked transfer has the driver track your flight and wait even if you are delayed.
