From Batumi Airport to Tbilisi and Kutaisi
For many travellers Batumi Airport is the door, not the destination: the road goes on to Tbilisi or to Kutaisi airport. Here is what runs, when, and from where.
Schedules checked against the carriers’ own sites on 12 August 2026. They shift with the season — confirm before you travel.
First leg: from the terminal
Trains leave from Makhinjauri station north of the centre, and the Kutaisi bus from the new bus station on Giorgi Tsabadze street. Neither is at the airport; how to cover that first leg is on the transport page.
Train to Tbilisi
Two fast trains a day each way, daily, in Swiss double-decker Stadler KISS sets (numbers 801–804). The journey takes about five and a half hours.

Why there are no fares here
Neither the railway nor the bus company publishes fares on the pages that carry their schedules, and we do not copy figures from travel blogs. Check the price with the carrier when you book — a wrong one here would cost you a connection.
